Irvine, California-based Edwards Lifesciences Corporation (EW) provides products and technologies to treat advanced cardiovascular diseases in the United States and internationally. The company has a market cap of $51.8 billion and offers transcatheter heart valve replacement products for minimally invasive replacement of aortic heart valves under the Edwards SAPIEN family of valve systems, among other products.

Companies with a market cap of $10 billion or more are typically called “large-cap stocks.” EW fits squarely into that category, with its market cap exceeding this threshold and reflecting its substantial size and influence in the medical devices industry.

However, EW stock is down 6.6% from its 52-week high of $96.29, touched on July 7. Moreover, EW has grown 2.8% over the past three months and has lagged behind the Dow Jones Industrial Average ($DOWI), which has grown 3.5% during the same period.

Zooming out a little further, the scenario remains the same. Over the past 52 weeks, EW has surged 11.4%, lagging behind DOWI’s 17.1% gain.

EW has been trading above its 200-day moving average since July and also above its 50-day moving average since August, indicating bullish momentum.

Edwards Lifesciences has showcased operational excellence through its better-than-expected Q2 2026 earnings, released on July 23. The company’s net sales for the quarter grew 13.6% from the previous year’s quarter to $1.7 billion, uplifted by robust growth in its TAVR and TMTT sales figures. Additionally, the company’s adjusted EPS for the quarter also came in at $0.78, surpassing Wall Street’s estimates. EW also raised its 2026 sales growth guidance to between 10% and 11%, from 9% to 11% previously.

When stacked against its peer, Boston Scientific Corporation (BSX), EW has outperformed. Over the past year, BSX stock has tanked 55.5%.

Moreover, sentiment on EW remains highly bullish. Among the 30 analysts covering the stock, the consensus rating is a “Strong Buy.” Its mean price target of $102.03 suggests a 13.5% upside from current levels.
