Rio Tinto Enters Interim Co-management Deal with Ngarlawangga Aboriginal Corporation in Australia

11:49 PM EDT, 09/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Rio Tinto Group (RIO.L) said Tuesday it entered into an interim modernized agreement with the Ngarlawangga Aboriginal Corporation in Australia. The new co-management deal builds upon the 2011 participation agreement between the parties, covering the mining company's operations on the lands of the Yinhawangka and Ngarlawangga peoples. Rio Tinto said it is working with the corporation to finalize the full version of the modernized agreement.
