11:56 AM EDT, 09/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Deutsche Bank (DBK.F) reached a settlement with a former employee who filed a 152 million-euro claim against the German lender in relation to an accounting scandal involving Italian peer Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena (BMPS.MI). The settlement amount with Dario Schiraldi was not disclosed, London's Financial Times reported Monday. Schiraldi was among six former employees at the German bank who were initially convicted in Milan of false accounting and market manipulation charges linked to trades at Monte dei Paschi, but later acquitted. The court in Frankfurt confirmed that Schiraldi withdrew the lawsuit, the newspaper noted. Meanwhile, Deutsche Bank is still facing lawsuits in London filed by four former employees. Deutsche Bank did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
