Baku Climate Action Week 2026 opens on the 7th in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The five-day event will discuss topics such as energy transition, climate finance, industrial decarbonization and regional cooperation, and promote the transformation of climate commitments into concrete actions. Mukhtar Babayev, the representative of the President of Azerbaijan on climate issues and former chairman of the 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, said at the opening ceremony that this year is the third year in a row that Baku Climate Action Week has been held. The Arab side will work to maintain the momentum of global climate action, promote dialogue into practical action, and forge new partnerships.
