During the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, VR works from China garnered the attention of overseas audiences through story expression and technological innovation. In the “Venice Immersive Unit” exhibition area located near Lido Island in Venice, Italy, the Chinese VR work “Pigeon Ring” attracted many foreign viewers to experience it. Using grandchildren's experiences together to find lost pigeon rings as a clue, this work tells the story of memories and family in an ordinary Chinese family. In addition to “Pigeon Ring”, a number of works created by young Chinese artists appeared in this year's “Venice Immersion Unit”, showcasing new exploration of Chinese VR creations in story expression and technology applications.
