08:05 AM EDT, 09/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Berenberg raised its forecasts and price target for Soitec (SOI.PA) as analysts took note of the company's upgraded revenue outlook for its Photonics silicon-on-insulator, or SOI, product. For the first half of 2027, the semiconductor materials maker expects revenue for its Photonics-SOI product to grow to 2.3 times the $50 million reported a year earlier. For full-year 2027, Soitec estimates Photonics-SOI revenue to come in between 2.5 and 3 times the prior year's level of slightly above $100 million. "The entire increase in expectations is driven by Photonics-SOI, as AI infrastructure-related demand continues to accelerate. The stronger demand, combined with greater visibility on customer requirements and increased Photonics-SOI capacity, has allowed management to increase its guidance for Photonics-SOI revenue, while expectations for the remainder of the business remain unchanged," the research firm said. As such, Berenberg raised its sales, EBIT, and EPS estimates for 2027 to 2029. The stock's price target was also increased to 135 euros from 129 euros, while the hold rating was maintained. "We believe that Soitec's monopolistic positioning combined with the strong demand likely means that Photonics-SOI growth is accretive to pricing, with the natural operating leverage in Soitec's model as well as likely pre-payments also supporting profitability and cash generation respectively," analysts added.
