In July, the passenger car market sold 1.473 million units, down 20.1% year on year and 12.7% month on month; sales volume in the new energy market was about 920,000 units, down 5.7% year on year and 7.8% month on month. In July, sales in the new energy market accounted for 62.5% of total passenger car sales, up 9.5 percentage points from the same period last year. In July, sales of pure electric vehicles were about 626,000 units, up 2.5% year on year and down 9.0% month on month; plug-in hybrid sales volume was about 294,000 units, down 19.4% year on year and 5.2% month on month. In 2026, the cumulative sales volume of new energy was 5.44 million units, a cumulative year-on-year decrease of 13.0%.
