The Zhitong Finance App learned that the majority of Hong Kong Stock Connect upstarts have plummeted. As of press release, Shiteng Holdings (02562) fell 35.80% to HK$0.78; Tianxing Healthcare (01609) fell 12.15% to HK$122.2; YoyoMei (06658) fell 11.23% to HK$121.0; and Danno Pharmaceutical-B (06872) fell 9.29% to HK$152.4.

According to the news, on September 4, the Shanghai Stock Exchange issued an announcement to implement adjustments to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange list under the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect. This adjustment officially came into effect on September 7. A total of 54 stocks were transferred to the Hong Kong Stock Connect list, and 15 stocks including Shiteng Holdings were transferred out. Huatai Securities released a research report at the end of last month saying that the current Hong Kong Stock Connect adjustment is relatively crowded and the game is sufficient. After these companies officially transfer to the Hong Kong Stock Connect, their stock prices may fluctuate greatly.

The bank said that historical experience shows that from the trading day after the announcement of the Hang Seng Composite Index adjustment results, individual stocks had significant and stable excess returns compared to the Hang Seng Index, but the excess earnings of the Hong Kong Stock Connect adjustment strategy have narrowed markedly since this year. The bank previously determined that when marginal capital inflows to the south slowed by 20%-40% throughout the year, the excess earnings of individual stocks included in Hong Kong Stock Connect were either lower than in 2025, compounded by increased structural differentiation in the same batch of Hong Kong stocks and congested index adjustment transactions, causing Hong Kong Stock Connect to include an excess decline in individual stocks included in Hong Kong Stock Connect.
