On September 3, Porsche announced that Christian Friedl, 49, will be a member of Porsche's Global Executive Board on September 1, 2026, responsible for production and logistics. He replaced Remude, who had been in charge of the department for more than ten years, as planned to retire. In his new position, Friedl is responsible for Porsche's global production and logistics network, covering production sites in Zuffenhausen and Leipzig, as well as CKD production in Malaysia. Friedl and his team are about to meet a challenge at the Zuffenhausen production site: integrating the new all-electric 718 model into the existing 911 internal combustion engine production line. In the future, various models with different drivetrains will be co-produced on the same production line.
