Kalmar Plans Operating Model Reorganization to Bolster Growth

11:04 AM EDT, 09/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Kalmar (KALMAR.HE) intends to streamline its operating model as part of organizational changes aimed at bolstering growth and improving operational efficiency. The Finnish heavy material handling equipment and services company's terminal tractors and horizontal transportation segments will be merged into a single division, according to a Thursday release. An internal restructuring will also be carried out within the equipment division, while the services segment will continue to focus on "capturing recurring lifecycle value." Consequently, the company also made changes to its leadership team structure and composition, including the appointment of new heads for the affected divisions with effect from Jan. 1, 2027. Kalmar expects the reorganization to result in cost savings of 10 million euros, with full run-rate anticipated to be attained by 2027-end.
