Zhitong Finance App learned that according to preliminary statistics from the People's Bank of China, at the end of the 2nd quarter of 2026, the total assets of financial institutions in China were 562.2 trillion yuan, up 7.7% year on year. Among them, the total assets of banking institutions were 497.98 trillion yuan, up 6.6% year on year; total assets of securities institutions were 20.37 trillion yuan, up 29.8% year on year; and total assets of insurance institutions were 43.86 trillion yuan, up 11.8% year on year.
