A few days ago, the reporter learned from Chengdu University of Technology that the high-frequency Doppler monitoring array led by the university has officially been put into operation. With its large spatial coverage, the array will provide a new observation platform for exploring ring coupling mechanisms and improving the ability to monitor and predict natural disasters such as earthquakes. The project was led by Chengdu University of Technology and collaborated with many universities and organizations, including Sun Yat-sen University, the Daocheng High Altitude Astronomy Science Center in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, and the Earthquake Prediction Research Institute of the China Earthquake Administration. The stations of the complete monitoring array include 2 signal transmission stations and 8 receiving stations, distributed in Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou and other provinces. The highest receiving station is located in the Wuming Mountain area of Daocheng County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan.
