The Zhitong Finance App learned that on September 2, the Tencent (00700) WorkBuddy Open Platform was officially launched, fully opening up WorkBuddy's ability ecosystem and building a new AI office paradigm that continues to evolve with thousands of users. Five major ecological capabilities of Buddy apps, experts, skills, connectors, and hardware have been released in the first phase, and more capabilities are being added continuously.

According to the official website, the open platform is a one-stop workbench for the Workbuddy ecosystem business. After entering and passing the corresponding qualification review, developers can develop and manage services such as skills, experts, expert groups, connectors, and external application access on this platform.

Through an open platform, developers can quickly transform industry know-how, business systems and service capabilities into standardized products in the WorkBuddy ecosystem, reducing development and operation costs while obtaining unified publishing channels and user reach capabilities. The open platform will also continue to improve development tools, open interfaces and ecosystem services to provide developers with a more efficient, stable and secure development experience.

According to media reports, 9 joint smart hardware models were unveiled at the press conference. Partners include brands such as Plaud, Rokid, Shadow Stone, iFLYTEK, Anke, Mamma, and Made in Beijing and Tokyo; more than 30 industrial applications were simultaneously connected, covering more than 20 fields such as finance, law, healthcare, education, and public welfare.

Liu Yi, vice president of Tencent Cloud and head of Tencent's CodeBuddy & WorkBuddy, said, “True productivity never depends on how powerful a tool is, but on how many capabilities it can connect to and how many scenarios. We want to make WorkBuddy an operating system for the agent era, not a stronger tool, but a platform that can carry all the tools.”
