12:47 AM EDT, 09/02/2026 (MT Newswires) -- An illegal operation faking expiry dates and nutritional information on Nestlé (NESN.SW), Unilever (ULVR.L, UNA.AS), PepsiCo, and Coca-Cola products was uncovered by authorities in India, Reuters reported Tuesday. The operation at a Mumbai warehouse erased and reapplied expiry dates and other information on products marked for exports to other countries, according to an investigation by the authorities from the Indian state of Maharashtra's Food and Drug Administration. Nestle, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, and Unilever's Indian unit Hindustan Unilever did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
