12:42 AM EDT, 09/02/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Hugo Boss (BOSS.F) said Tuesday its board decided to terminate its share buyback program after Frasers Group's (FRAS.L) announcement of plans to increase its stake in the company to over 50%. The luxury fashion retailer repurchased 124,044 shares for a total of 4.8 million euros under the program, which commenced on Aug. 24 and will be terminated upon expiration on Sept. 8. Hugo Boss noted that the termination does not indicate any change in its confidence in its strategy and potential. The board intends to revisit a share buyback program when appropriate. Alongside the stake plan, British fashion and sports goods retailer Frasers Group said it is also reviewing its support of Hugo Boss Supervisory Board Chairman Stephan Sturm.
