This morning, the National Health Insurance Administration held a press conference to release the 3.0 version group plan and technical specifications for payment by disease type. This is the third edition of the grouping scheme and technical specification after the 1.0 version in 2019 and the 2.0 grouping plan in 2024. Payment by disease type has basically achieved “full coverage” of eligible co-ordinated regions and medical institutions. In 2019, a pilot project for countries paying by patient group was launched, in 2020, and a three-year action plan to reform health insurance payment methods was launched in 2021 to speed up reform, expansion and quality improvement on the basis of the pilot.
