The Zhitong Finance App learned that on September 2, the Hang Seng Index opened 0.19% lower to 25,280.82 points; the Hang Seng Technology Index fell 0.41% to 4,532.22 points; and the State-owned Enterprises Index fell 0.18% to 8,447.25 points. Pre-market transactions amounted to approximately HK$8.238 billion.

Pharmaceutical stocks strengthened. Xiansheng Pharmaceutical (02096) rose nearly 5%, Genting Xinyao (01952) rose nearly 5%, and Kangchen Pharmaceutical (01681) rose more than 3%. According to the news, Xiansheng Pharmaceutical and Roche have reached a global development and commercialization licensing cooperation on the three-specific antibody SIM0660, with a potential transaction amount exceeding US$1.53 billion. In terms of data center concept stocks, Xinyiwang Group (01686) rose nearly 7%.

Gold stocks generally fell, with Shandong Gold (01787) falling nearly 5%, and Lingbao Gold (03330) and Zijin Gold International (02259) falling more than 4%. Property and construction stocks declined, with Wanwuyun (02602) falling nearly 7% and Zhiyun Technology Construction (09900) falling more than 5%.

According to the news, the three major US stock indices collectively closed down overnight. The Dow fell 0.79%, the S&P 500 index fell 0.71%, the NASDAQ fell 1.03%, and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell more than 2%; spot gold closed down 2.48% to 4,327.28 US dollars/ounce, falling below the 4,400 US dollar mark. Hong Kong stocks collectively opened lower today due to the escalation of the US-Iran conflict, heightened risk aversion, and the overnight fall in gold prices.
