For the first time, the Korean government will directly receive graphics processor services from an external private artificial intelligence data center. In the face of a public infrastructure policy that has been adhering to the principle of closure for a long time on the grounds of safety, this is considered a policy shift made by the government in response to the actual need to ensure the country's AI competitiveness. The Daegu Center of the National Information Resources Management Agency of the Ministry of Administration and Security of Korea will use a dedicated line to connect to the Samsung SDS Dongtan Data Center GPU service to ensure high-performance AI computing resources. Samsung SDS will officially launch work related to the government-specific GPU service after the Korea National Intelligence Service has completed the final security verification. Korea's Ministry of Administration and Security plans to gradually expand GPU service capacity using this cooperation as a starting point.
