12:03 AM EDT, 09/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Prosus' (PRX.AS, PRX.JO) Brazilian unit filed a complaint with the country's antitrust watchdog accusing China's Meituan of artificially lowering prices, Bloomberg News reported Monday. According to documents seen by the news outlet, the complaint urges the antitrust regulator to probe the unit economics of Meituan's Keeta division, which is a rival of technology investor Prosus' iFood unit. The two companies offer online deliveries of prepared food. Keeta made its Brazilian debut in 2025 and has been increasing its market share by offering discounts using its parent company's cash reserves, the complaint alleges. Prosus, iFood, Meituan and Keeta did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
