The Zhitong Finance App learned that at the VMware Explore 2026 conference held in Las Vegas this week, Broadcom (AVGO.US) highlighted its latest layout in the fields of AI intelligent governance, open source security, and data sovereignty.

The semiconductor giant officially released the VMware Private AI Cloud (VMware Private AI Cloud), providing a path for enterprises to directly enter production, so they can securely build, operate, and manage inference workloads, intelligent applications, and traditional enterprise workloads on a unified private cloud platform. This means businesses can now run AI production tasks in a local environment.

Ram Velaga, president of Broadcom Infrastructure Software Group, said, “VMware's private AI cloud is a turning point. Enterprise private cloud and private AI infrastructure are no longer separated from each other, but are integrated into an integrated platform — enabling production-level inference workloads and intelligent AI to be implemented while meeting data sovereignty, compliance requirements, and cost predictability.”

At the same time, Broadcom also launched the VMware AI Factory (VMware AI Factory) as a software-defined foundation for VMware's private AI cloud.

Paul Turner, Chief Product Officer of Broadcom's VMware Cloud Foundation Division, stated, “We provide our customers with a software-defined underlying architecture that automates infrastructure deployment, unifies lifecycle management, and allows customers to independently choose hardware and validated models. The end result is faster deployment of the first model, predictability of private cloud costs, and greater control over the AI tokenomics (AI Tokenomics).”

According to Broadcom, the AI factory supports more than 150 open source and commercial models, is compatible with Nvidia (NVDA.US) and AMD (AMD.US) accelerators, and has also been certified by many server vendors such as Cisco (CSCO.US), Dell (DELL.US), and Lenovo (00992).

Suresh Andani, VP of AMD Computing and Enterprise AI Division, said, “Combining the AMD Instinct Mi350 series GPUs with the open ROCM software ecosystem on VMware Cloud Foundation provides customers with a validated private AI path, a predictable cost structure, and no token-based billing model. This collaboration enables companies to run production-grade AI where the data resides, while maintaining choice and control over the full stack.”

In addition, Broadcom also released a number of new solutions for AI agent behavior control and governance, including AgentMinder, VMware vDefend, and VMware Avi load balancers.

Umesh Mahajan, vice president and general manager of Broadcom's Application Network and Security Division, said, “Companies can now use advanced defense and security systems to safely put intelligent AI into operation, apply strict fence mechanisms, and fully protect their AI environment.”

Broadcom Chief Information Officer Alan Davidson shared internal practices: “With AgentMinder's support, our platform has achieved stable operation on a global scale, with zero downtime even during maintenance and upgrades. It has promoted the full deployment of our company-wide AI agent pipeline by providing 'chain supervision' capabilities between developers and multiple agents/skills. Its secure multi-region redundancy architecture provides high-availability, low-latency connectivity services for over 20 million customer identities and 72,000 employee identities.”

Broadcom estimates that 56% of enterprises are currently running or planning to run production-level AI inference on private clouds. In line with this trend, the company also released a new AI-ready data foundation for the VMware Tanzu platform. The Tanzu platform is the official smart platform for VMware's private AI cloud. It provides a hardened agent sandbox, an AI-ready data base, out-of-the-box developer tools, a select application marketplace, and an auditable agent governance mechanism.

On the financial side, Broadcom plans to release the third quarter earnings report after the US stock market on September 2, EST. The market generally expects adjusted earnings per share of $3.24, with revenue of US$29.43 billion; in the same period last year, the company's adjusted earnings per share were US$1.69, with revenue of US$15.95 billion.
