According to Woofun AI, American Bitcoin, a mining company associated with the Donald Trump family, revealed in the Wolf Financial podcast that its daily production is stable in the 11 to 13 bitcoins range. This data, which was personally confirmed by Eric Trump, marks the family's substantial expansion in the field of cryptographic infrastructure, and made its operational efficiency the focus of the market.

Looking at the scale of operations, the company deployed around 90,000 mining equipment and produced 932 bitcoins in a single quarter in the second quarter. According to data compiled by Woofun AI, by the end of August, its Bitcoin reserves had surged to 8,300, a sharp jump from 5,401 at the end of 2025. Combined with a gross profit margin of 49%, this “just dig, don't sell” accumulation strategy aims to capture potential price dividends through long-term holding, reflecting the strong expectations of large mining companies for asset appreciation.

However, differences in cost accounting standards have sparked intense controversy. Eric Trump claims the mining cost is only $57,000, while the Forbes report indicates that if depreciation, management expenses, and financing costs are factored in, the actual cost should be as high as $90,000. Eric Trump accuses the other party that the estimates are politically motivated, but no detailed basis has been provided.

This difference reveals a common problem in the industry: published cash costs often exclude non-cash items and indirect expenses, causing real profitability to be overestimated.

As mining difficulty rises and energy costs fluctuate, low operating costs have become a core competitive advantage. Clarifying the full cost structure is critical for investors, analysts, cryptocurrency enthusiasts, and political observers. The case of American Bitcoin highlights the critical role of transparent financial reporting in gaining trust, and also marks the mining industry's accelerated evolution towards institutionalization and giant dominance.
