According to the Zhitong Finance App, China Communications Construction (01800) announced interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026. The group achieved operating revenue of RMB 333.16 billion (same unit), a year-on-year decrease of 1.16%; net profit of 9.554 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 25.75%; and earnings per share of 0.43 yuan.

The announcement said that in the first half of the year, in the face of downward pressure on the scale of the domestic market, the company knew its burdens and overcame difficulties, continued to step up the development of major projects, and accelerate the transformation and upgrading of emerging businesses. The amount of new contracts signed by the company was 902,949 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 8.89%; 47% of the annual target was achieved (estimated increase of 2.6% over the new contract amount of 1883.672 billion yuan in 2025 as reviewed and approved by the board of directors), which is in line with the schedule schedule.

During the reporting period, the company signed a new contract amount of 241,678 billion yuan for overseas business, an increase of 20.61% over the previous year, accounting for about 27% of the company's new contract amount. By business type, water transport, railways, housing construction, road and bridge, airport, urban rail transit, municipal and others each accounted for 27%, 22%, 15%, 9%, 8%, 6%, 4%, and 9% of the new contract amount for overseas business; by geographical division, Asia (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), Africa, Oceania, Latin America, Europe, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and others each accounted for 44%, 28%, 16%, 5%, 5%, and 2% of the new contract amount for overseas projects. The company achieved a new contract amount of 27.772 billion US dollars in the “Belt and Road” joint construction countries, accounting for 88% of the amount of new contracts signed overseas. Since the initiative was proposed, the total amount of new contracts signed was US$344,064 billion. All tunnels for the East Coast Railway Project in Malaysia have been completed, Cambodia's Funan Dezuo Water Project has been signed and landed, and the global multi-site layout continues to be deepened.
