UK Regulator Launches Probe into The Brink's-NCR Atleos Merger

05:42 AM EDT, 08/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK Competition and Markets Authority initiated its first-phase inquiry into cash and valuables management company The Brink's Co.'s takeover of ATM services company NCR Atleos. The British regulator said Wednesday it will investigate whether the planned acquisition may result in a substantial lessening of competition within any local goods or services markets, and will issue its decision on whether to refer the transaction for a phase 2 inquiry by Oct. 22.
