According to the Zhitong Finance App, Taihe Holdings (00718) announced that the Group expects to achieve significant pre-tax losses of approximately HK$220 million to HK$250 million in the six months ending June 30, 2026 (the first half of 2026), while the Group earns an unaudited pre-tax loss of approximately HK$213 million in the six months ending June 30, 2025. The main reasons for anticipated losses before tax are: (i) a decrease in the fair value of Chinese investment properties; (ii) provision for loss of financial guarantee contracts signed with domestic banks for non-group company bank loans; and (iii) financial costs associated with bank loans linked to the acquisition of shopping malls in Guangzhou.
