Eiffage-led Consortium Bags Construction Contract for Energy-recovery Facility in France

12:32 AM EDT, 08/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Eiffage (FGR.PA) said Monday that an Eiffage Génie Civil-led consortium secured a 77 million-euro construction contract for a new incineration and energy-recovery facility in Grenoble, France. Grenoble-Alpes Métropole and six other local authorities in the Sud-Isère area of France awarded the contract to the group. A related energy-recovery works package of 168 million euros was also awarded to lead contractor Keppel Seghers and Eiffage Énergie Systèmes. Intended for the Athanor site in La Tronche, the new facility will process 165,000 tonnes of waste annually. Work on the project started earlier in 2026, with commissioning scheduled for the end of 2029 and completion expected by the end of 2031. The Paris-listed civil engineering construction company said its share of the construction contract is 62 million euros, while its share of the energy-recovery works contract is 33 million euros.
