On August 23, the joint training of the “Eagle of Civilization - 2026” air forces of China and Egypt ushered in the first flight training day at an Egyptian air force base. The training course for the day was “1 vs 1” air combat with special-shaped aircraft. Before the flight training, the Chinese and Egyptian pilots separately introduced the performance of their respective training equipment, conducted in-depth discussions on joint training courses, and clarified flight safety rules, airspace control regulations, take-off and landing methods, and special situation handling plans. After the flight training began, along with a loud roar, the Chinese Air Force J-16 fighter jet and the Egyptian Air Force fighter jet glided into the sky. The two sides closely followed the actual combat background and launched medium- and close-range air combat confrontations. “Joint training mainly starts with basic air combat confrontations of '1 vs 1' and '2 vs 2' and gradually progresses to systematic joint combat training, which is conducive to improving the tacit agreement, technical and tactical level, and actual combat capability of the pilots of both sides.” An Air Force official introduced it. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Egypt. This is the second time that the air forces of the two countries have held this series of joint exercises. The two sides will continue to deepen practical cooperation and enhance mutual trust and traditional friendship.
