According to Woofun AI, MicroStrategy (MSTR.US) is reshaping the balance sheet through capital operations, with the aim of building a more flexible funding buffer mechanism to cope with market fluctuations.

Documents submitted on Monday revealed details of last week's capital raising: the company raised approximately $2 billion through the issuance of 18.26 million common shares. The funds were accurately distributed. Of this amount, $300 million was injected into the US dollar reserve, $136.4 million was used to repurchase 1.43 million preferred shares STRC (STRC.US) with variable interest rates, and the rest went into a newly established liquidity pool called “dollar cash.”

According to data compiled by Woofun AI, this structural adjustment makes the US dollar cash pool more flexible and can be used to buy Bitcoin, buy back securities, or repay debts, while the original US dollar reserves continue to perform the function of paying dividends on preferred shares and interest on outstanding debts.

As of August 23, MicroStrategy (MSTR.US) had USD reserves of USD 5.1 billion and USD cash of USD 1.59 billion, which together reached USD 6.69 billion in liquidity. On the asset side, the company did not trade any bitcoins. For the second week in a row, its Bitcoin holdings remained at 840,447, with a total value of US$65.6 billion, and an average purchase cost of $75,385 each. In terms of liabilities and repurchases, under the $1 billion digital credit securities repurchase program, preferred shares worth approximately $483.4 million have been repurchased, and the remaining $516.6 million is available; while the $1 billion common share repurchase authorization has not yet been used.

The market reacted positively. During pre-market trading on Monday, MSTR (MSTR.US) shares rose about 1.2% to close to $121, and STRC (STRC.US) shares were priced at $96.49. At this point, Bitcoin is trading above $78,000.

This strategy marks the transformation of MicroStrategy (MSTR.US) from a simple Bitcoin holder to an entity with complex capital management capabilities. By separating rigid debt payments and flexible investment funds, it has enhanced its ability to survive and expand under extreme market conditions.
