According to Deluri's latest report, the peak shipping season is gradually slowing down, but port congestion, weather disturbances, and geopolitical risks continue to affect the capacity and freight rates of east-west main container routes. As of August 20, the Deluri World Container Freight Index rose 4% month-on-month to 4,526 US dollars/FEU. Major route trends diverged. Among them, trans-Pacific and transatlantic freight rates rose, supporting the upward trend in the composite index; the Asian-Nordic/Mediterranean route continued to weaken, and freight rates declined somewhat; and most routes within Asia continued to rise.
