On August 23, the State Defense General Office and the Ministry of Emergency Management organized a joint meeting between the China Meteorological Administration, the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Ministry of Transport and other key provinces in Guangxi, Guangdong, Fujian, and Liaoning to investigate the development trend of Typhoon No. 18 “Shader”, Typhoon No. 19 “Zitan”, Typhoon No. 20 “Jane LaWei” and heavy rainfall, and deploy flood control and typhoon prevention work.
