11:26 AM EDT, 08/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Berenberg updated its price target and forecasts for Novonesis (NSIS-B.CO), noting that investor concerns over the longevity of the company's organic sales growth drivers in 2026 were alleviated by "optimal" second-quarter results. "We suspect the growth of many consumer ingredients producers may have benefited to some extent from one-off factors in 2026, be they pre-buying by customers nervous of Iran-induced price increases or availability issues, weaker prior-year figures or, in the case of Novonesis, fly-up margins at bioethanol producers. However, the breadth of the organic sales growth at Novonesis leaves us comfortable about a smooth transition into 2027," analysts wrote in a note published Friday. "The firm's stock price is also less heavily tied to US consumer sentiment than peers such as Givaudan and Symrise, which could prove supportive if the hoped-for revival in this metric does not materialise in a long-conflict scenario for Iran." As such, the buy rating on the biosolutions company was left unchanged, while the price target was raised to 500 Danish kroner from 422 kroner. The research firm also increased its sales and EPS estimates for 2026 by 2% and 3.6%, respectively, reflecting higher top-line growth expectations and the beginning of Novonesis' recently unveiled 1 billion-euro share buyback program that is set to run until 2029. For 2027 and 2028, sales and EPS projections moved higher as well.
