According to Zhitong Finance App, Mongolian Energy (00276) announced that on August 21, 2026, MoEnCo (an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company in Mongolia) and the contractor Orgil J Trade LLC signed a contract to build (1) heating pipelines and water purification pipes; and (2) sewage pipes at the Hushuotu coal mine. The total cost was 2,679 billion Mongolian tugriks (equivalent to about HK$5.626 million).

According to the construction contract (1), the contractor is responsible for constructing 1,502-meter-long outdoor pipelines to connect the new administrative area and industrial area of the Hushuotu Coal Mine to heat and provide clean water within these areas.

According to the Group's mining plan at the Hushuotu coal mine, MoEnco needs to shorten the distance between soil discharge and export transportation; therefore, from the perspective of the cost of the entire life cycle of the coal mine, the economic benefits of coal production and operation are maximized.

According to the mining plan described above, MoEnco will use the current office and administrative area as a landfill area on or before 2027. As a result, MoEnco needed to relocate its existing offices and ancillary facilities to a new area within the mine, as well as build a new office administration building, an industrial area, and a range of supporting facilities including surrounding road paving and a new customs control yard in the new area.

The pipeline built under the construction contract connects the new administrative district and industrial area of the Hushuotu Coal Mine to heat and provide clean water in these areas and to discharge sewage and waste water within these areas.
