08:59 AM EDT, 08/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Galantas Gold (GAL.L) said Thursday it has secured all key regulatory approvals to resume operations at its Andacollo Gold project in Chile after the country's mining watchdog approved the reactivation of the project's leach waste dumps. Chile's National Geology and Mining Service approved the amendment permitting the operational reactivation of the Ripios Dumps VII, VIII, and IX facilities, extending the validity of a previously granted permit under the same technical, operational, environmental, and safety conditions. The dumps had been suspended since 2016. With the last regulatory permit secured, the gold and copper company said it is now authorized to run operations at Andacollo for four years from the start of mineral extraction, or until the applicable remaining authorized tonnage or capacity is reached, whichever comes first.
