According to Zhitong Finance App News, China Unicom (600050.SH) disclosed its 2026 semi-annual report. During the reporting period, the company achieved operating income of 201,364 billion yuan, an increase of 0.6%; net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 4.139 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 34.8%; deducted non-net profit of 3,534 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 36.7%; and basic earnings per share were 0.133 yuan.

Phased profit fluctuations are due to multiple factors. In addition to VAT, changes in the pace of labor cost investment are important reasons. Labor costs are expected to remain stable throughout the year, and the decline in profits will narrow markedly. Cash flow is healthy and improving, with net operating cash inflow of 33.3 billion yuan, an increase of 13.6% over the previous year, a recent high. The growth rate of accounts receivable has slowed significantly compared to the same period last year.

The value of connectivity has stabilized and improved. The value of new users is higher than the value of existing users, the integration penetration rate is over 78%, and the ARPU of the integrated package remains above 100 yuan. The release of computing power and momentum accelerated, with revenue of 241.9 billion yuan, up 13% year on year. Among them, revenue from intelligent computing centers increased 11% year on year and revenue from intelligent computing increased 9% year on year. The internationalization process has been accelerated across the board, creating a new growth pole, and international business revenue increased 14% year over year.

Adhere to lean management and continuously improve the efficiency of input and output, with capital expenditure of 24.1 billion yuan in the first half of the year. Implementing the “Six Networks” deployment to build strong computing power networks and next-generation communication networks, the share of computing power investment increased to 37%, and the investment amount increased by more than 80% over the same period last year. Deepen network co-construction and sharing, promote intelligent network operation and maintenance, and effectively control costs while the network scale continues to grow. The energy consumption of a single station improved by 4.8% over the same period last year.
