State Grid Co., Ltd. is actively exploring large-scale application paths for electric heavy trucks to serve the development of the NEV industry and the green and low-carbon transformation of transportation. On August 4, the heavy truck charging demonstration station in the Zhangqiu Service Area of the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway of the State Grid was officially put into operation. It is the first grid-friendly electric heavy truck high-power charging demonstration station in the country. The Zhangqiu Heavy Truck Charging Demonstration Station is built and operated by State Grid Electric Vehicle Service Co., Ltd., with 6 special charging stations for heavy trucks, equipped with 12 high-power charging terminals. The maximum charging power for a single gun is 800 kilowatts. A heavy truck with a battery power of 450 kilowatt-hours can be charged as fast as 15 to 20 minutes. The 6 charging parking spaces at the demonstration station use 3 types of technical routes, which are divided into a DC microgrid flexible charging area, a high-efficiency high-power charging area, and a pre-installed integrated integrated charging area. They use cutting-edge technologies such as quantum battery safety testing, zero-power standby, and flexible grid adaptation, providing a model for the construction of high-power charging stations for electric heavy trucks.
