According to an announcement from the Indian government, India will lower export tariffs on diesel, gasoline, and aviation kerosene from mid-August to the end of the month. The total consumption tax on diesel was reduced from Rs 25.5 to Rs 24 per litre. The special additional excise tax on diesel exports remained unchanged at Rs 24 per litre, and the road infrastructure tax of Rs 1.5 per litre was abolished. The export tax on aviation turbine fuel was reduced from Rs 22 to Rs 19.5 per litre. The gasoline export tariff was adjusted from 3.5 rupees per litre to zero.
