According to the Zhitong Finance App, Bit Strategy (06113.HK) announced that the Group expects to record a loss of no less than RM6.88 million for the six months ending June 30, 2026 (medium term), while the six months ending June 30, 2025 (previous period) will be about RM4.6 million in profit. Although the Group recorded an increase in revenue of approximately RM46.4 million (previous period: approximately RM45.2 million), the profit and loss was mainly due to (i) confirmation of Bitcoin impairment losses of approximately RM4.96 million in the medium term (previous period: zero); and (ii) the increase in the Group's other operating expenses in the medium term to approximately RM12.9 million (previous period: approximately RM8.9 million), mainly due to increased costs associated with analysis and review to improve the Group's telemarketing service performance and manpower allocation; and (iii) an increase in the mid-term cost of the Group's employees RM37 million (previous one (Period: Approximately RM27.6 million).
