China Southern Airlines Co., Ltd. (01055): Passenger capacity investment increased 4.23% year-on-year in July

According to the Zhitong Finance App, China Southern Airlines Co., Ltd. (01055) announced that in July 2026, the Group's passenger capacity investment (in terms of usable seat kilometers) increased 4.23% year on year, with domestic and international passenger capacity up 2.34% and 10.30% year on year, and the region decreased 1.45% year on year; passenger turnover (in terms of passenger kilometers revenue) increased 5.25% year on year, with domestic and international increases of 4.40% and 8.18% year on year, respectively. The region decreased 3.22% year on year; passenger occupancy rate was 85.20%, up 0.82 percentage points year on year. Within China, the year-on-year increase was 1.70 percentage points, while regional and international declines were 1.48 and 1.61 percentage points year-on-year, respectively.

In terms of freight, in July 2026, freight capacity investment (in terms of usable tons of kilometers - freight and mail traffic) increased by 3.06% year on year; cargo and mail turnover (in terms of tons of revenue - freight and mail traffic) increased by 0.84% year on year; cargo and mail carrying rate was 49.79%, down 1.09 percentage points year on year.

In July 2026, the Group added the following major routes: Fuzhou-Manila-Fuzhou (four flights per week).

In July 2026, the Group introduced 8 aircraft (including 2 A320NEO aircraft, 3 A321NEO aircraft, 2 B737-8 aircraft and 1 C919 aircraft) and withdrew 7 aircraft (including 1 A319 aircraft, 2 B787-8 aircraft, 2 B737-700 aircraft and 2 B737-800 aircraft). As of the end of July 2026, the Group operated a total of 974 transport aircraft.
