08:35 AM EDT, 08/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Barclays reiterated its overweight rating on RWE (RWE.F), with a price target of 68 euros, noting that the German energy group's commentary on its first-half earnings report was "even better than expected." "RWE's 1H26 release delivered fresh positives beyond the 28 July preannouncement, with data centre monetisation, commodity upside and the superior catalyst timeline all supporting our view that guidance is conservative and growth remains underappreciated," the research firm said Thursday. "Despite RWE outperforming the European utilities sector SX6P by ~22% over the past year, we still see meaningful upside to our EUR68 price target and a stronger catalyst path into year-end." Analysts identified the German capacity auctions on Sept. 8 and in late December, as well as the German network regulator updates on allowed returns, to be among key upcoming catalysts for the company.
