The Macao SAR Government said today that with the “one country, two systems” system and its unique location, Macao is comprehensively promoting the moderate and diversified development of the “1+4" economy. The China Merchants and Investment Promotion Bureau received 194 new investment plans in Macau in the first half of 2026, an increase of 7% over the previous year. More than 60% of the projects were new investment plans for the “1+4" industry, which increased by more than 40% over the same period last year, particularly in the modern finance, high-tech and health sectors. According to information, China Merchants has completed and followed up 133 investment projects. The settlement projects cover key areas such as high-tech, specialty finance, health, and biomedicine. Among them, there is no shortage of listed companies and leading companies with high growth potential to set up venture capital funds in Macau, fully demonstrating international capital's confidence in the prospects of the Macau market.
