BBSB INTL (08610) signs MOU with DPS RESOURCES BERHAD

According to Zhitong Finance App, BBSB INTL (08610) announced that BBSB Holdings Sdn Bhd (BBSB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Shantawood Sdn Bhd (SSB) on August 12, 2026. SSB is a wholly-owned subsidiary of DPS Resources Berhad (DPS), which is listed on the Bursa Malaysia Stock Exchange.

The Memorandum of Understanding sets out the initial understanding between BBSB and SSB on the proposed cooperation (proposed cooperation), and the contracting parties intend to explore potential arrangements for developing data center facilities on land owned by SSB.

The proposed cooperation is subject to the successful completion of relevant technical, commercial and regulatory considerations, the availability and suitability of the required infrastructure projects, obtaining the necessary approvals, and negotiations and signing of a final agreement between the contracting parties.

The proposed cooperation may provide the Group with an opportunity to expand its participation in data center infrastructure projects by utilizing the Group's experience and expertise in bridge and infrastructure engineering (including the possibility of applying its engineering and construction capabilities to the design and development of data center infrastructure), so as to achieve complementary resources and capabilities of the contracting parties.

At this stage, the proposed cooperation is still preliminary in nature and is subject to further evaluation, agreement on relevant conditions, negotiations and the signing of a final agreement. There is no guarantee that the proposed cooperation will eventually take place, nor that the contracting parties will enter into any final agreement.
