AlzeCure Pharma Secures $12 Million Upfront Payment Under Alzheimer's Platform Licensing Deal

05:34 AM EDT, 08/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Swedish biotech company AlzeCure Pharma (ALZCUR.ST) said Wednesday it received an upfront payment of $12 million under its licensing and collaboration agreement with QuantumCell for the NeuroRestore Alzheimer's platform. The payment, which includes a $7 million cash licence fee and a $5 million direct investment in AlzeCure, fulfills all conditions for the transaction announced on July 1. The deal also includes development and commercial milestone payments, alongside tiered royalties ranging from high single-digit to low double-digit percentages on future sales. The total potential value of the agreement is over $2.2 billion. Under the agreement, QuantumCell will acquire the global rights to NeuroRestore and assume responsibility for its continued clinical development and commercialization.
