Alcon Posts Lower H1 Attributable Net Income; Net Sales Grow

11:11 PM EDT, 08/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Alcon (ALC.SW) said Monday that attributable net income for the first half decreased, while net sales increased year over year. Net income attributable to shareholders for the six months ended June 30 was $189 million, compared with $526 million earlier. EPS moved to $0.39 from $1.06. The Swiss eye care company's net sales were $5.47 billion, compared with $5.03 billion a year ago. Looking ahead, the company increased its outlook for full-year 2026 core diluted EPS and now expects growth in the 12% to 15% range, compared with the previous guidance range of 10% to 13%. It affirmed expectations that net sales for the year will increase between 5% and 7%.
