From what we can see, insiders were net buyers in Tomson Group Limited's (HKG:258 ) during the past 12 months. That is, insiders acquired the stock in greater numbers than they sold it.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Tomson Group

In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when MD & Executive Chairman Feng Hsu bought HK$628k worth of shares at a price of HK$2.18 per share. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at above the current price of HK$2.08. It's very possible they regret the purchase, but it's more likely they are bullish about the company. In our view, the price an insider pays for shares is very important. As a general rule, we feel more positive about a stock when an insider has bought shares at above current prices, because that suggests they viewed the stock as good value, even at a higher price. The only individual insider to buy over the last year was Feng Hsu.

Feng Hsu purchased 3.06m shares over the year. The average price per share was HK$2.24. The chart below shows insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last year. If you want to know exactly who sold, for how much, and when, simply click on the graph below!
