From what we can see, insiders were net buyers in Intraco Limited's (SGX:I06 ) during the past 12 months. That is, insiders acquired the stock in greater numbers than they sold it.
While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, logic dictates you should pay some attention to whether insiders are buying or selling shares.
Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by Executive Chairman Lye Mak for S$94k worth of shares, at about S$0.34 per share. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, at around the current price, which is S$0.37. Of course they may have changed their mind. But this suggests they are optimistic. We do always like to see insider buying, but it is worth noting if those purchases were made at well below today's share price, as the discount to value may have narrowed with the rising price. Happily, the Intraco insider decided to buy shares at close to current prices. Lye Mak was the only individual insider to buy shares in the last twelve months.

I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. A high insider ownership often makes company leadership more mindful of shareholder interests. Insiders own 15% of Intraco shares, worth about S$5.9m, according to our data. However, it's possible that insiders might have an indirect interest through a more complex structure. Whilst better than nothing, we're not overly impressed by these holdings.
It doesn't really mean much that no insider has traded Intraco shares in the last quarter. On a brighter note, the transactions over the last year are encouraging. We'd like to see bigger individual holdings. However, we don't see anything to make us think Intraco insiders are doubting the company. So while it's helpful to know what insiders are doing in terms of buying or selling, it's also helpful to know the risks that a particular company is facing. At Simply Wall St, we've found that Intraco has 3 warning signs (1 shouldn't be ignored!) that deserve your attention before going any further with your analysis.
