On August 7, Siemens announced a total investment of more than $200 million in new manufacturing plants in Pendrass, Georgia, and Grande Prairie, Texas, which will expand its electrical infrastructure manufacturing footprint in the US and create more than 1,500 jobs. The new Pendgrass, Georgia plant will cost US$185 million and will serve as an American manufacturing center for low-voltage electrical products and power distribution equipment. The $19 million manufacturing site in Grand Prairie, Texas, will expand US production capacity for critical power distribution solutions.
