Heavy rainfall over the past few days has caused water accumulation in some low-lying farmland in Heilongjiang. All parts of the province have taken measures such as strong drainage of high-power equipment, unclogging field channels, blocking irrigation sites, and improving drainage networks to speed up the discharge of accumulated water from the fields and buy time for crops to resume growth. In Limintun, Tongde Village, Jiaxin Town, Yanshou County, Harbin, some rice fields have accumulated deep water due to continuous incoming water. Rescue records provided by the Harbin Water Development and Construction Group show that starting at 15:00 on August 2, a high-displacement drainage pump truck drove onto a temporarily reinforced dam, and 4 pumps started one after another to pump accumulated water from low-lying rice fields to nearby flood drainage areas. Rescue teams have previously continuously drained floods at various locations such as urban areas, community basements, roads, and reservoirs in Yanshou County.
