Microsoft announced that it will provide multi-year financial support worth a total of 60 million US dollars to the US Department of Energy's “Genesis Project” project. According to the plan, Microsoft will distribute $40 million worth of Azure computing and AI credits over three years, and invest $20 million in solution engineering and support services. In addition to funding, Microsoft is establishing a new coordination center called “Promoting Research and Knowledge Science Partnerships” as the only entry point for Genesis's collaboration with Microsoft.
