10:27 AM EDT, 08/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- EasyJet (EZJ.L) agreed to Apollo Global Management's 5.7 billion-pound-sterling takeover offer, according to a Thursday filing. Apollo's Eagle Bidco offered 7.15 pounds in cash for each of the British budget airline's shares, representing an 81% premium to the stock's closing price on May 28, the day before the offer period started. The buyer also presented an alternative offer of 1 rollover share for each easyJet share. EasyJet's directors plan to unanimously recommend that shareholders vote in favor of the takeover's scheme of arrangement at the next meeting. The scheme is set to take effect by the end of the first calendar quarter of 2027. In a separate Thursday release, Castlelake said it does not intend to make an offer for easyJet after careful consideration.
