Zeta Global Holdings went into this earnings print as a high growth marketing and AI platform stock with a loyal bull camp and a lot to prove on profitability. The market liked what it saw. The share price jumped 11.6% to US$27.07 after the release, extending a strong three month run.
The headline this quarter is profit. Zeta Global Holdings shifted from a loss in Q1 to GAAP net income of US$8.2 million, with basic earnings per share of US$0.03, on revenue of US$442.8 million. That move into the black, paired with fast revenue growth, is what has investors leaning in.

Bulls argue Zeta Global is shifting from cyclical ad-tech to an AI-first marketing infrastructure with durable enterprise adoption and rising earnings power. This quarter hits several checkpoints. Revenue grew 44% year on year to US$443 million and adjusted EBITDA margin reached 20.7%, which together meet the previously flagged “Rule of 64” ambition when paired with growth. Positive GAAP net income of US$8.2 million and free cash flow of US$58 million with a 13.1% margin back up the claim that AI investments are translating into real profitability rather than just higher spend.
The Athena narrative also finds support. More than 40% of super scaled customers use Athena monthly and voice users interact many times more than non voice users. Super scaled ARPU of US$1.8 million and multi use case adoption metrics suggest the platform is deepening customer monetization, not just adding logos.
The key bear worry is that Zeta Global is over reliant on a narrow set of large, AI heavy customers and that margins could slip if investment needs stay high. This quarter does not remove that risk. Management highlights that roughly 20% of customers who adopt AI comprehensively account for about 70% of revenue and the top half of AI adopters among super scaled customers drive 75%. That level of concentration means any pullback from these heavy users could hit growth.
Bears also focus on execution and spend discipline. Although adjusted EBITDA grew faster than revenue and free cash flow rose 73% year on year, management still points to ongoing AI, data and partnership investment needs. The raised guidance, conservatism in modeling and new US$1b credit facility are helpful, but they do not eliminate the possibility that future AI or data security spend crimps margins if monetization slows.
With Zeta Global Holdings still unprofitable on a trailing basis and funding ongoing AI and data investment, the key question is how robust the balance sheet and cash generation are.
