Merck KGaA Posts Lower H1 Profit; Net Sales Up

01:25 AM EDT, 08/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Merck KGaA (MRK.F) said Thursday its profit for the first half fell, while net sales inched up year over year. Profit after income tax attributable to shareholders for the six months ended June 30 was 1.15 billion euros, compared with 1.39 billion euros a year ago. EPS moved to 2.64 euros from 3.19 euros. The German science and technology company's net sales were 10.57 billion euros, compared with 10.54 billion euros earlier. For 2026, the company raised its net sales outlook to between 21 billion euros and 21.8 billion euros, from 20.4 billion euros to 21.4 billion euros previously. The company also raised its EPS pre guidance to between 7.90 euros and 8.60 euros, compared with between 7.50 euros and 8.20 euros in the previous outlook.
